PUBLIC WORKS ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Heber City Corporation has an opening for a full-time Public Works Administrative Assistant. This job requires the following essential functions: Performs as Secretary/Assistant to the Public Works Department. Acts as receptionist; answers phone and routes calls; takes and relays messages; responds to and assists the general public. Performs document filing, scanning and maintenance; data entry; prepares department purchase orders and verifies accuracy. Creates and tracks department work orders related to roads, water, sewer, flood and irrigation, etc. Assists in permit processing; processing, tracking and monitoring Blue Stakes; assists in Public Improvement inspections; processes and monitors billing (samples, damages and products); assists the Technology Department. Other duties assigned by Office Manager.
Candidates will be high school graduates with at least one (1) year of specialized training in general office practices and procedures, PC operation and various software applications; and two (2) years of responsible experience related to above duties; or an equivalent combination of education or experience. Individual must possess considerable knowledge of office practices and procedures and be skilled in PC operations and various software applications, i.e., Microsoft Office, Excel, etc. Must be able to type 50 words per minute.
